ICF Structures and Pools
Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are forms used to permanently hold fresh concrete in place as a form of insulation and stability – and we highly recommend them! We became certified to install ICFs in 2008 and we use Logix blocks for the installation process.
Why ICF? Well, when it comes to home building, ICF is far superior to traditional wood framing. The concrete blocks are first-rate in sound quality, mold growth inhibition, structural integrity & durability, long-term energy savings and insurance premium savings.
But let’s talk pools – that’s where we love ICF even more. ICF makes pools more cost-effective in our climate here in southeast Idaho. ICFs have an excellent R value, or heat flow rating, which means it will take less energy to heat the water and control the temperature of your pool, leading to lower energy bills and a longer swimming season!
While ICFs come at a higher price point up front, that energy efficiency will pay off in the long run – and make your pool longer-lasting, too.
